Uplift Launches Funding Application
Uplift will begin awarding grants to women in crisis on September 1, 2022.
STEVENS POINT, Wisc. – (September 1, 2022) Uplift Foundation is publicly launching its online funding application, which will award grants to women in crisis nationwide.
These grants are an integral part of Uplift’s agile giving model, which was created to give funds directly and immediately to women in crisis. Uplift has pledged to make funds available within 72 hours of application.
Crisis happens every day, often striking without warning. But in difficult times, there are still moments of hope. Uplift’s vision is to meet women where they are, and provide support and encouragement—immediately and without judgment.
Uplift has four distinct funds: basic needs, health and wellness, jobs and training, and crisis. Each of these funds has dedicated money, which will be distributed to grant applicants based on their needs.
Uplift has been intentionally fundraising and developing for two years. Led by Angie Heuck and an all-female board, Uplift is committed to utilize 100% of all donations and gifts to fund grants for women in crisis, creating a collective community that is supporting women and children, with special attention to those in current crisis.
“To reach this point in our growth as a nonprofit to begin to provide direct support to women and children in crisis is such an important milestone,” said Angie Heuck, Uplift’s founder and executive director. “If we only help one woman in crisis, then we have succeeded. However, we know we will impact the lives of so many more through the generosity of many donors from across the country, because where compassionate support exists, positive outcomes are achieved.”
The funding application is live at http://www.upliftingwomen.org/apply.
