Your Agile, Direct Assistance Makes a Difference

We love so many things about our organization, but one of the things we are most proud of is our ability to offer agile, direct assistance. When a woman is in crisis, she doesn’t have the time to wait so we modeled Uplift to not be bogged down by difficult processes, allowing our response time to be within 72 hours from the time an application is received. No matter the circumstances, our team reviews all applications and communicates Uplift’s decision within 72 hours. This means that women and children in crisis have the information they need to move forward quickly.

Additionally, we are able to support so many women because of our funding model. 100% of all gifts go directly to women and children in crisis. How can we do that? Because all of our operational costs are covered by The Cadre, a small, private group of donors who give to ensure that every dollar you give is given directly to a woman in crisis.

When women in crisis reach out to our organization, every dollar you give provides support within reach. Your gifts provide food, critical medication, clothing, and safe shelter for women and their children who are in current crisis. Understanding that more than 85% of our applicants are single mothers, your generosity creates a bridge that lifts women out of difficult circumstances and allows them to move forward into a more hopeful, abundant future for themselves and their children.

Your support makes a difference and none of your generosity is taken for granted.

One of our donors, Vivian Philips Husband, eloquently put it this way,  “I am appreciative of the structure Uplift provides which enables me to share with others I will never meet but who will undoubtedly make the world a better place to live.”

We know that when women support women, worlds change. Your support, along with the collective support of 601 others, is changing worlds every day, and with Uplift’s dedication to efficiency, transparency, and consistency, that change is able to reach as many women as possible.
